La Colladona from Pola de Laviana is a fairly gentle climb. The first part is a false flat, with the climb becoming steeper towards the top; however, even the more challenging parts of this climb are quite gentle for the region.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in good condition.There is little traffic throughout the climb. The first few kilometres are the most busy, with a few cars coming past. After the village of Tolivia it becomes very quiet.
Climb Description

La Colladona from both sides is popular with cyclists in this part of Asturias. From Pola de Laviana it is a really scenic and enjoyable descent, particularly once you have passed the village of Tolivia. This is an easy climb which is nice if you would like a gentle route on a rest day, before tackling one of the tougher mountains in the region.
La Colladona is open throughout the year.
