La Colladona is a steady climb, with the gradient generally fluctuating between 7% and 8%. It shouldn't pose any real difficulties to seasoned climbers.

La Colladona from both sides is popular with cyclists in this part of Asturias. From Cabañaquinta it is a fairly short and steady climb, but it is steep enough to provide a challenge if you wish to use it as a training run.
Most of the climb from this side is in forest, although it opens up at the very top as you get views into the Nalón valley.
La Colladona is open throughout the year.
Other SidesLa Colladona can also be climber from the north starting from the town of Pola de Laviana; this is the more rolling and scenic side.
