Climb Description

Iturburu is a popular climb with cyclists and has been used in recent editions of the San Sebastian Classic cycling race. The uneven gradients make this the more challenging side, although it is still not especially difficult for experienced cyclists. The climb heads throughgreen countryside, finishing at a narrow pass under a bridge. Alto de Iturburu is a great climb to include on a longer route in the area.

Alto de Iturburu is open throughout the year.

Roads & Traffic

The road is in very good condition and there is little traffic throughout the climb.

Alternative Routes

Iturburu can also be climbed from the east - starting in Azpeitia.
