Climb DescriptionArantzazu is a popular cycling climb in the center of the Basque Country. The scenery is typical of the region - very green and largely forested - and it goes into the heart of the Aizkorri-Aratz Natural Park. The climb is steepest in its first few kilometres before settling into more of a steady rhythm, and it is an enjoyable climb.
Arantzazu begins from the historic town of Oñati - home to an ancient Basque university which is one of the oldest on all of the Iberian peninsula.
Arantzazu is open throughout the year.
Other sidesThis is the only side from which Arantzazu can be climbed.
