Climb Description

Untzella from Aramaio is a short climb situated on the border between the provinces of Alava and Guipuzkoa in the Basque Country. It is a picturesque and quiet ascent which has appeared in the Tour of the Basque Country Cycling Race. The climb from this side in particular has superb views over the rolling green countryside that is so typical of the Alava province.

The climb ends in the village of Untzella and is fairly consistently steep throughout its short distance, without having any really explosive gradients.

Untzella is open throughout the year.

Roads & Traffic

The road is in very good condition throughout and there is very little traffic on the climb.
