Climb Description
Urdaneta is a short and steep climb in the Guipuzkoa province of the Basque Country. It begins from the lively coastal town of Zarautz and takes a more or less direct line climbing south around the edge of the Pagoeta Natural Park. It is an enjoyable ride, with fantastic views of the coastline on the upper part of the climb. There is a village at the top of the climb with several excellent restaurants.Urdaneta is open throughout the year.

Alternative Routes
Urdaneta can be climbed from two other sides. One route runs parallel to this climb, passing through the village of Urteta. The other route climbs to Urdaneta from the west, starting from Aizarnazabal. However, both of these sides are on narrow roads with a poor road surface and are not so enjoyable to ride.Nearby Climbs
