Climb Description

The road from San Martino is the main way to ascend to Passo delle Erbe from the east. It is a pleasant climb with enjoyable views, which open out nicely at the summit.

Despite being one of the shorter routes to the pass, the climb from this side is still a challenging test. The gradients are consistently steep and can take a lot out of your legs, particularly if it is not your first climb of the day.

Passo dell Erbe is best climbed from May to October.

Roads & Traffic

The road surface is in very good condition throughout.

On weekends during the summer there can be some traffic on the climb, but it is generally not enough to affect the enjoyment.
