Climb Description

Jaizkibel is one of the most famous cycling climbs in the Basque Country. For many years it has been a key climb in the San Sebastían Classic, and it has even been included twice in recent years.

The climb is pretty and enjoyable without being really spectacular. Much of the climb from Hondarribia is lined by trees which obscure the view; however, at times you get glimpses of the fantastic Bay of Biscay and the coast of south-western France.

Jaizkibel is open throughout the year.

Roads & Traffic

The road is in very good condition and there is little traffic throughout the climb.

Alternative Routes

Jaizkibel can also be climbed from the west, beginning in Lezo.
