Climb Description

Capileira is a climb in the southern part of the Sierra Nevada National Park. The climb continues for several kilometres past the village of the same name and is an enjoyable ascent in the typically wild and open scenery of the Sierra Nevada.

The climb is a dead end, and so on a road bike you have to descend back down the same way, but it is close enough to several other climbs to incorporate into a longer route.

The climb to Capileira is open all year.

Roads & Traffic

The road surface is in good condition and there is little traffic on the climb.

Alternative Routes

This is the only way to climb to Capileira by road.
