Climb Description
Coll Formic is a pleasant climb situated in the Montseny Mountains, to the north of Barcelona. It has been used as a climb several times in the prestigious Volta a Catalunya cycling race and is popular with both local amateurs and cycle tourists. The climb from Seva is the shorter and easier side, with quite steady gradients allowing you to ride in a comfortable rhythm. The scenery is largely forested, but it does open up at times as you head through the village of El Brull, offering some nice panoramas. Coll Formic is usually open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in excellent condition throughout the climb. There is usually little traffic; it can increase slightly at bank holidays and on weekends, but is rarely enough to be annoying.
