Climb Description
The northern side of La Traviesa is quite a modest and easy ascent, but it is sandwiched between two much more challenging climbs - Agua de los Perros to the north, and the south side of La Traviesa. This remoteness means that the climb will usually be included as part of a longer ride.Situated in the Sierra de Cazorla mountains in the north of Andalucia, La Traviesa is scenic and enjoyable to ride from both sides, without being really spectacular.
La Traviesa is nominally open throughout the year, however it can be closed for short periods in winter due to snow.

The road surface is in good condition, but does have sections with some loose gravel in places.
