Climb Description
Puerto de Onil is a pleasant climb situated between the Sierra de la Fontanella and the Sierra de Mariola Natural Parks. The climb from Onil has been used several times in the Vuelta a España and also the Volta a la Communidad Valenciana professional races. It is very steady, with quite gentle gradients and is best included as part of a longer route.This is the slightly more scenic side of the climb, with numerous hairpin bends offering attractive views through the forested Natural Parks.
Puerto de Onil is usually open throughout the year.
Roads & Traffic
The road surface is in excellent condition and there is little traffic throughout the climb.
