Climb Description
Alto de Margarida is a long and mostly gentle climb in the northern part of the Alicante province, which finishes near to the village of Margarida. It begins next to the Beniarrés Reservoir in the shadow of the imposing Benicaldell mountain and passes though picturesque fields of olive and cherry trees and the winding road has a real mountain feel to it.The only difficulty comes relatively early on, with a tough one kilometre long section averaging a shade over 10% and with maximum gradients of 18%. Apart from that the profile has no hidden surprises!
Alto de Margarida is open and highly enjoyable to climb throughout the whole year.
