Climb Description

Artesiaga is an enjoyable climb in the Navarra region in Northern Spain. It follows very quiet roads, leading to a pass under the Sayoa Peak.

This is the more challenging and also the more scenic side of the climb with some beautiful views to the forested valley - particularly once you cross the Collado de Meaka in the middle of the ascent.

The excellently surfaced narrow road makes Artesiaga from Irurita a real pleasure to climb.

Artesiaga is open throughout the year depending on the weather. Short term closures due to heavy snowfall are possible.

Roads & Traffic

The road is in very good condition there is very little traffic throughout the climb.

Alternative Routes

Artesiaga can also be climbed from Eugi. This is a significantly shorter and easier ascent.
