Climb Description

Alto de Montefrío is a fairly steady climb between the towns of Tocón and Montefrío in the Granada province of Andalucia. It is a pleasant climb pleasant ascent through olive groves and forests, which presents no real difficulties to most riders.

The climb is open all year.

The road is in very good condition and there is little traffic throughout the climb.




Alternative Routes

Alto de Montefrío can also be climbed from the town of Montefrío. From this side it is an undulating road with several downhill sections, rather than a sustained climb.
